Happy New Year 2019!

Its already another new year and another year that went by so fast that I feel like it was just yesterday I was saying the same thing about the year before. Did it go by so fast that I regretted not living it enough though? To that I can resolutely say a huge “No”! I know that every minute of my life was filled doing things I wanted to do (or had to like cleaning the house…😉)

I can hear some of you saying that I’m so lucky to be able to do what I want but I don’t think its luck, its just the choices we make. And yes we all have choices, some are harder to make with bigger compromises or consequences but it has to be our own choice and not something imposed, if not we just go through life with regrets or blaming others for all the misfortunes in our lives. Like housework for example. I had to make my peace with it, if not it was making me miserable every single time I did it. I could have hired a maid, but the desire to use that money for something else was stronger than my dislike of housework, so I made a choice. Giving up my job of 21 years which provided a good salary, incredible benefits, a chance to progress & my financial independence, was also a choice I made, as I preferred to be with my family. I tease them and say that I did it for them, but it was for me, as I wanted to take advantage of the last few years they’re in the house before they leave to study abroad.

I chose to watercolour a “Thank You” card using Hero Arts Dahlia stamp I was lucky enough to receive from Karen my team mate here on the a2z Scrapbooking DT team, and this card is to thank her for the generous gifts she gave me this Christmas. I also want to thank all of you out there for the support & love you leave me through your kind comments throughout 2018, I appreciated each and every one of them, so this card is also for you.

I wish you all happy new Hopes, happy new Dreams and happy new Everything for 2019.

All My Love, 0aablog-signature
